Meet Our Village...
Say "Hi" to the Shadds
We are Corey & Misty Shadd with our three kids:
Hazen (age 10), Hutton (age 4) and Holland (age 3) and we have been in the Lebanon, TN area for almost thirteen years. We opened The Village Play Place originally, as a place for families to have a space to play, meet other families, learn, grow and build relationships outside our walls. Over the past year, we saw just that happen with many people in the community.
One of our main philosophies we adopted when we began operations, is to evolve and change the model of the business based on what the community needs. Time and time again, we would hear families share the struggle to find childcare or Pre-K programs. With a passion to see families succeed and be a partner to help children reach their potential, as well as our experience in childcare, Children's Ministry and family development, we decided to pivot and become a licensed Childcare & Pre-K Center!

Meet Our Team
The Village Play Place Academy is able to provide such quality care and education through our dedicated and experienced team. With over 90 years of combined experience and 86% holding a master's degree in fields ranging from Education, Childhood Development, Public Health and more - expert training and experience is brought to the classrooms and operations.
